Anthony Martial was signed by Manchester United for £50million from French side AS Monaco. The young talent at the time had the world at his feet and was ready to take on the world at Old Trafford.

Martial made an instant impact and looked like a fantastic talent that would make his mark at United. Whilst he did for periods, that hasn’t been the final story for Martial at Old Trafford.

Injuries, injuries, injuries and a failed loan spell at Sevilla sum up the recent history of Martial at United. Despite looking sharp and technically brilliant when playing this season, the striker has barely been fit to be a consistent go to option.

Erik Ten Hag seemed pleased with Martial and was willing to give the player a chance. As stated, some great performances that gave fans hope quickly turned to the usual frustrations.

From a lack of fitness to time on the sidelines with injury, Martial doesn’t really have much to show for himself at United anymore. With other options out there - there is only one clear solution.

Whilst he did score for United at Old Trafford against Wolves on Saturday, it doesn’t prove anything wrong when looking at the bigger picture. Martial’s time at United is over, Ten Hag needs reliable players - both fitness wise and ability wise.

VERDICT: Sell
